Game Description:  Simple is often better. When it comes to speed drinking games like Pint Race, the focus is all on individual agility, drinking ability and swiftness. The rules are simple because they have to be – like all good athletic sporting events, the focus is on the competitor. The rest is up to you, champs.

Number of Players:  Minimum of three

You Will Need:  Beers and plastic pint glasses along with a total of at least three players, including one referee.

How to Play: Assign one player the rule of referee. The referee’s job is to officiate the game, ensure all participants comply with the rules, make sure all beer is of the same quantity and declare the winner and loser. Rules of the Game:

The standard rules are pretty simple. You can totally add more to customize the game. For starters, abide by these rules:

WHEN REFEREE CALLS START: All players have to start drinking their pint of beer as fast as they can. Go for it!

FIRST PLAYER TO FINISH: The player who finishes his pint first has to place the empty pint glass on his head, upside down.

EVERYONE ELSE: All other players have to STOP drinking at the point of the first player placing his empty glass on his head

PLAYERS THAT STILL HAVE SOME BEER LEFT: Any player with beer left in their glass after the first person has finished have to bear the ignominy of their failure by POURING THE LEFTOVER BEER over their heads!

GETTING ONE OF THE RULES WRONG: This can incur a penalty of having to DRINK HALF A PINT in one go.

NO BATHROOM BREAKS: This is an optional rule that can be waived if all players agree at the start of play. If you decide to keep it, all players must follow the rule. No exceptions, ok?

 You Lose:  There are two ways to officially lose this game. The first is by having to douse yourself with beer. The second might actually be if you are the winner and you finish your beer the fastest and become the drunkest player round after round!

Safety Disclaimer:  Now for the responsible bit. Pint Race is a speed drinking game. It’s a whole lot of fun to play, but take care. Any game that encourages drinking quantities of alcohol quickly comes with inherent risks. If you decide you play this game, you MUST ensure you are legally able to drink. You must also NEVER, EVER drink and drive, especially after playing something like Pint Race. The fast nature of the game means you may not realize how drunk you are. Please, don’t risk operating a car or taking a ride from someone else who has been drinking. It is not worth saving the cab fare. Make other safe arrangements instead to get you home afterwards.
