Drinking Games A-Z: Fuzzy Duck

The fuzzy duck drinking gameFuzzy Duck is another speech repetition drinking game. The titular statement is SERIOUSLY hard to say correctly after a few drinks…

Sip Score: *** (Medium-Sipping game)

Game Description:  The aim of this game is to say “fuzzy duck” again and again, while avoiding making a spoonerism of the sentence. For those who don’t know, a spoonerism occurs when, in a pair of words, the first syllable or letter of word is switched around with the second word’s first syllable or letters. The result makes a cutesy and innocent statement blue. Another example of a spoonerism is “cunning stunt.” Try it now. See?! The premise of this game sounds so simple, but it really isn’t when you’re drunk. It is, however, highly amusing to watch and listen to friends drunkenly say two words correctly as their powers of speech deteriorate with beer consumption. Frustration and comedy together in this really fun game!

Number of Players:  Minimum of three.

You Will NeedDrinks and some friends to play the game with.

How to Play: Decide with your buddies how many drinks will be the penalty for saying the statement incorrectly. And then that’s it – you just try to say it back and forth as quickly as possible, without messing up. Or, at least trying to mess up as little as possible!

Rules of the Game:

Ascribe penalty values to the drinks.

FUZZY DUCK: The statement has to be said exactly the right way around.

INVERTING THE WORDS: DRINK as the penalty.

INVERTING THE FIRST LETTERS OF THE WORDS: This is a mistake that is paid for with DRINKING!

You Lose: If your duck isn’t fuzzy and you’ve inverted the sentence so much that the only thing that’s fuzzy is your drunken vision.

Safety Disclaimer: Fuzzy Duck is a really hilarious drinking game that can be played safely and responsibly for the best results. As it involves alcohol in large qualities, ensure that all players are legally permitted to drink. Never drink more than you are comfortable with or able to. It’s not cool to drink so much that you pass out or put yourself or others in danger, so take a mature approach as you play and constantly listen to what your body is telling you. If it is telling you that you’ve had enough to drink, obey it.

There are tell-tail signs that it’s time to slow down or stop playing. It’s fun to mess up and say the sentence wrong, but if you keep on repeatedly saying “Fuzzy Duck” the wrong way around and are feeling sick, it’s a very clear indication that it might be time to retire from this game. Have a glass of water and take it easy.

Drinking in driving is not just illegal, it’s highly dangerous. Don’t do it. Have fun and play with friend whom you know and trust. If you are playing this game in a bar or other public place (or with people  you don’t know so well, like friends of friends) do not leave your drink unattended for any period of time.
