The Baseball Coin drinking game is a firm favorite that makes for fun game playing.
Sip Score: ** (Light-Sipping game)
Game Description: A coin-based drinking game that is played in two teams and shares some similarities with baseball, hence the name.
Number of Players: Minimum of 2
You Will Need: Four shot glasses, one Quarter (or similar coin), a pen, a piece of paper, some friends and some beer or liquor.
How to Play: Place the four shot glasses onto a table in a straight vertical line, equally distanced apart. Fill each glass up to the brim with beer or liquor, name the bases and take your turn to throw the quarter into a glass. Record performances with the pen and paper: make note of hits, runners on the base and the points.
Rules of the Game:
GLASS NEAREST TO PLAYERS: This is 1st base
GLASS SECOND NEAREST TO PLAYERS: 2nd base
GLASS SECOND FARTHEST FROM PLAYERS: 3rd base
GLASS FARTHEST AWAY FROM PLAYERS: Home plate and home run!
THREE OUTS: Each team has a maximum of three outs.
THREE STRIKES: Each player has a maximum of three strikes.
GET A QUARTER INTO THE SHOT GLASS?: The scoring teamhas to DRINK the glasses BEHIND the one that they hit. E.g. if you hit first base, you have to drink 2nd, 3rd base and the home run. If you hit 3rd base, you have to drink one glass only.
THE OTHER TEAM: Has to TAKE A DRINK every time their opponents score a hit!
The team amassing the most points over the nine innings in the game is declared the winner.
You Lose: There are no real losers in this game – everyone will be drunk and happy at the end! Strictly speaking though, you lose if your team doesn’t make any hits.
